De researchafdeling heeft binnen Savills een belangrijke spilfunctie op het gebied van de strategische informatievoorziening. Savills Research registreert en beschrijft bepalende ontwikkelingen op elk gebied van de vastgoedmarkt. Research is verantwoordelijk voor de interne kennisverspreiding en versterkt hiermee de kwaliteit van de extern gerichte dienstverlening van Consultancy, Agency, Valuations, Property Management en Investments. Daarnaast draagt de afdeling bij aan de professionele uitstraling van Savills door zich actief naar buiten te profileren. Dit houdt in dat over marktonderzoek zelfstandig gepubliceerd wordt in de aangeschreven vakbladen. Steekwoorden zijn kwaliteit, vernieuwend en onderscheidend.

Vanuit het internationale hoofdkantoor van Savills in Londen wordt de Europese research gecoördineerd. Het netwerk bestaat uit de onderzoeksafdelingen van kantoren in negen verschillende landen, waardoor vastgoedmarkten in heel Europa in kaart worden gebracht en beschreven. Het team wordt geprezen om haar neutrale conclusies en kenmerkt zich door het hoge kennisniveau binnen het gehele spectrum van het vastgoed, waarin het gedetailleerde marktinformatie en analyses opstelt binnen iedere afzonderlijke sector. Kennis en ervaring worden uitgewisseld, waardoor ook de capaciteit en de kwaliteit van de afzonderlijke researchafdelingen worden versterkt.
